Firefox 2 momentum

Standblog:
The overall quality of the product is so good that both PC Magazine and CNet gave to Firefox 2 their respective Editor's choice award! (On Cnet's review, Firefox has won 5 of the 5 rounds!)

Download numbers are amazing, too. As Asa puts it:

Firefox 1.0: 1 million downloads in the first 24 hours.

Firefox 1.5: 1.5 million downloads in the first 24 hours.

Firefox 2: 2 million (actually slightly more) people using Firefox 2 in the first 24 hours.

It's amazing that we are serving up to 30 downloads a second, all of them to users that have chosen to use a better browser.
I've been a long-time Firefox proponent, but I still don't like Firefox 2. I've found myself gravitating to Safari on the Mac and IE 7 on Vista, which is something I never would have thought possible. If I had to rate Firefox on a five-star basis, it would come in around 3 out of 5. How anyone could give Firefox a five star rating with that Fisher Price phishing filter is beyond me. In fact, it suggests that those ratings are completely bogus.
