iTunes hits 50 million download market

Apple: "Apple today announced that music fans have purchased and downloaded over 50 million songs from Apple’s iTunes Music Store, not including songs redeemed from the currently-running Pepsi iTunes promotion."

Just a reminder. For Apple to hit the 100 million download market, as predicted by CEO Steve Jobs, the company will have to sell 50 million more songs between now and next month. And that doesn't include songs downloaded for free during the Pepsi ad promotion.
