Brighthand is also reporting that Microsoft has reorganized its Mobile Devices Division. "In order to reduce lag time, what were previously two divisions [Embedded Devices and Windows CE] have been combined into one: the Mobile and Embedded Devices division. This will be responsible for developing new versions of Windows CE and Windows Mobile ... Last month, Microsoft released a beta of Windows CE 5.0. The final version is scheduled to be available during summer 2004. This is expected to be the basis for the next major version of Windows Mobile."
