iPod Dominates Teen Mindshare

Forbes:
Piper Jaffray said that based on a survey of high-school students, the iPod from Apple Computer is dominating mindshare and market share. Piper Jaffray said that of all students surveyed, 16% currently owned iPods and 24% planned to buy an iPod within the next year. The research firm said that out of the items teens wanted the most for the holidays, iPod ranked fourth on the wish list, behind clothes, money, and a car. Piper Jaffray said, "it is important to note that iPod was not an answer option--it had to be written in as a response." Piper Jaffray rates Apple at "outperform" with a price target of $40.
