The history of the FPS. A pictorial

This is cute, though it (naturally) leaves out a bunch of obvious games. I'd also argue that true first person shooters should come from the perspective of a "person" and that would leave out titles like Battlezone, but hey, that's just one man's opinion. Anyway.

Gnome's random Lair:
First Person Shooters, games filled with such splendid jokes as the BFG, and a genre that's sort of eclipsed most other forms of video games. This is its history. (Well, not all of it of course and it only makes it to DOOM, but ... err... it's got nice pictures)
